After studying textiles and fine art at college, I chose to do a degree in Three Dimensional Design at the University of Portsmouth. My specialism was in felting and metalworking, and the work from my final show is available to view on here!
Having graduated, I set up my own lampworking studio at home, making glass jewellery and beads. Although I often make uncommissioned work to sell, I prefer commission, so please feel free to contact me!
All of my beads are handmade by myself using a Nortel Minor Burner, in a process which involved heating glass rods until they are molten, and wrapping it round steel rods (or mandrels). I use Effetre, CIM, Reichenbach, and Double Helix glass, and all of my beads are kiln annealed for strength. Once they have been annealed, all of my beads are cleaned of bead release, and inspected for quality.
